Operating record
AI implementation inside a marketplace re-platforming with live revenue at risk.
As AI Product Manager at Lovingly, I worked on the SHOP and CHECKOUT re-platforming while applying AI to ticket triage, product requirements, test documentation, and workflow analysis.
- Role
- AI Product Manager, September 2024 to September 2025
- System
- Marketplace re-platforming, workflow automation, and human review
The recorded business case includes a positive net impact and substantial time saved on repetitive product work, with people reviewing consequential outputs.
Protect the operating system while changing it.
The re-platforming could not pause the marketplace. Product decisions had to protect current revenue while moving the underlying SHOP and CHECKOUT surfaces forward.
Automate repetition, not accountability.
AI absorbed repeatable work such as triage, requirements drafting, and test documentation. Evaluation and human review determined whether those outputs were safe enough to use.
The transferable lesson.
The model was not the operating advantage by itself. The advantage came from deciding which work could be systematized, what evidence would count, and where a person still had to own the call.
